Another recipe for Traditional Raisin Bun

Hello everyone, it’s S & A Recipes with you. Today we will present you another, very tasty, recipe of our traditional bun, “Pie”. Let me say that this recipe is very affordable, and we will not require much effort.

Well, we can start now.

We need the following ingredients to make the yeast:

  • 1.5 tbsp dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 200 ml of water

Dough:

  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 100 g sugar
  • 9 g vanilla
  • 400 ml milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.25 tsp cloves and the same amount of cinnamon
  • 5 cups of flour
  • 3-4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 100 g of raisins

Method of preparation:

1 . Mix the yeast ingredients, cover with a food layer and leave for 10 minutes until activated.
2. In the meantime, add salt, sugar, butter and milk to another bowl and mix well. Then we will add the activated yeast.

3. After mixing, add vanilla, egg, cloves and cinnamon

4. First we will add 3.5 cups of flour, but gradually. During which we add 3 tbsp of vegetable oil, raisins. After mixing well, leave the dough to rise. If you leave it in a warm atmosphere, about 40 minutes is enough, but it can last about 3 hours, depending on the temperature.

5. When the dough rises, add the rest of the flour and let the dough rise for the second time. Our dough should be soft, but not sticky.

6. After the dough rises for the second time, move it on the table, divide it into small equal balls. Leave it to rest for 15-20 minutes.

7. Bake in a preheated oven at 400F or 200C degrees for about 15-20 minutes.

You can add syrup to it, for which we need

  • 50g butter
  • 1 tbsp honey

And to give a golden color, we will use a mixture of milk and egg:

  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1 egg
