Honey cake charming and crumbly

Hello everyone! Today we will make honey cake. We have several versions of honey cake, each of which is more delicious, soft and aromatic than the other. Today we will prepare one of them, first we will present the recipe.

Recipe:

  • 160 grams of honey
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 200 g of butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 0.5 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of baking soda
  • 200 g/flour

For cream.,

  • 800 g sour cream 20% oil
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • dough crumbs for decoration.
  1. Melt honey on low heat, add soda. Cook over low heat for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until caramelized.
  2. Add butter to this mixture and wait until it melts completely.
  3. Beat the eggs for 5 minutes at the highest speed of the mixer, gradually adding all the sugar.
  4. Add the cooled mixture of honey and butter to the egg and sift the flour in parts.
  5. Divide the dough into 2 parts, put the dough on a baking sheet, smooth the entire area with a spatula.
  6. Bake at 160 degrees C for 6-8 minutes or 350 F until the cake is done (depending on the thickness of the cake – it may take a little more or less time).
  7. Cut the edges of the finished cakes, cut each cake into 2, 3 or 4 pieces.
  8. Mix sour cream with powdered sugar.
  9. Grind the cakes with a blender or grinder.
  10. Spread the cooled cakes with sour cream, sprinkle the top and sides of the cake with crumbs. Let it soak for 3-4 hours.
