Cake “Royal”

Welcome everyone to another S & A Recipes blog. As we have promised despite the situation in the frontier we will continue providing tasty recipes, so we can get pulled away from reality, at least for few minutes. Today, we are going to present cake “Royal,” which I had prepared it for my husband’s birthday,  back in late September. And now after a long time, finally I am introducing it to you.

For the cream we will need the following ingredients:

  • 300 g butter – needs to be at room temperature
  • 1.5 can condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3-4 tbsp. cocoa

For the dough we will be using:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup flour
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

For the second layer, it’s mostly the same ingredients:

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 4 tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Bake for 45 minutes under 180C. Divide the cooked dough into two parts.

For the icing decorations we will use the following ingredients for this butter cream:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk or heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • and 1 pinch of salt to break the sweetness.
