If you have no planning time and want to have some delicious dish right away, then you are in the perfect place. This is super easy, quick recipe that will get you delicious and juicy roasted chicken with little effort and very few ingredients. For this recipe we will not be using any stuffing but of course you can add your favorite vegetables if you would like to.
What we will need:
- Whole Chicken
- 50g Butter
- red and black ground pepper – to taste
- 1 tsp Aleppo pepper – to taste
- 1 tbsp salt – to taste
- 1 tsp Basil
- 0.5 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Thyme
- 1-2 tbsp of sour cream
- 4 -5 middle sized potatoes
- 1-2 lemon
- Parsley
First preheat the oven with 375 F. Start seasoning the chicken, add melted butter to your hands and start rubbing all over the chicken, under the skin and inside the cavity. After seasoning put the the chicken on the pan, add the potatoes and lemons. Put into the oven and cook for about 45 minutes under 350 F. After 45 minutes remove and cover the surface with sour cream. The sour cream will give beautiful, golden look; while the lemons will give unique taste and will keep the chicken juicy. Cook for another 10 minutes. Usually, chicken is already ready when it reaches 165 F, however you can cook it longer in order to get delicious soft, well roasted chicken!
After removing from the oven, wait for about 15 minutes to cool down and then you can start slicing, this will help to keep the juice inside the chicken.
